Playing Video Poker? Go By the Rules
Each and every game go by a specific set of rules. Before starting on any, it is important that you have come to know and understand the rules. * Video Poker machines all look alike. They are a computerized console that has a screen, some buttons, and a slot to deposit (or withdraw) your cash. On most cases, the buttons are placed at about the same spots each time. The keep/discard button is always placed underneath a drawn card.
* A game of Video Poker is started once you place a bet and push the "Deal" or "Draw" button. After hitting that, you will be served with five random cards. After evaluating your cards, you may choose to keep or discard any or all of them. If you decide to keep your cards, the machine will evaluate your hand and award you with the appropriate payout. If you decide to discard one or any of your cards, the machine will draw another card at random in exchange for your discarded cards, after which it will evaluate your hand.
* If your hand at a specific round has a corresponding payout on the payout table, your winnings will be credited to your amount, which is ready to be withdrawn anytime you wish to "Cash In". If your hand is unsuccessful to draw a payout, you lose your bet just like that.
* The process of betting, dealing, keeping/discarding cards, and evaluating a hand continues for as long as you wish to go through it.
The variable rules that apply from one Video Poker machine to another are basically about the betting and payout schemes. Different machines have different betting limitations. Of course, you will have to go within that limit otherwise, you will not be eligible for a game. The payout schemes are also different every single time or in every single machine. For one, the payout table is usually dependent on the betting limitations. Casinos maintain a House advantage that they just cannot lose. As such, payout tables are examined and studied through to ensure that players will not take any more or less than they should. There are also machines that use the payout table as their major allure. Machines that offer progressive jackpots or double playoff rounds have additional rules to the standard ones.
